We have had issues with dishonesty & manipulation at both of the Silverlake locations and will no longer be doing business with them. Now we have to buy a new set of tires and find another shop that can fix instead of cause damage to our vehicle. So frustrating. Called yesterday to schedule a simple flat repair (tiny nail in the tread, not sidewall). They said they could fit us in the next day so we dropped it off early in the morning (we were the only customers present at drop off- they did not seem busy). Drove by the shop and they had taken the SUV into the shop around lunch time. We get a call right before closing saying they patched the nail hole but the valve stem broke. They tried to replace the valve stem and it still has a "slow leak" and "isn't repairable". So they quoted us almost $1,000 for a new set of tires because we have all wheel drive. They tried to act like they were doing us a favor that they could get us new tires out the door by close after it had been there for 8 hours (We're assuming they broke the tire at lunch and got a new set of tires and purposefully waited until the end of the day to call us to pressure a sale). A $25 simple fix turned into a $1,000 estimate which we declined.
